Colonel Richard Kussman Sign Richard Kussman's Petition

Col. Kussman is a lifelong hunter, competitive shooter, Second Amendment activist and an ammunition experimenter and developer. His extensive experience operating organizations will be extremely valuable as NRA recovers and rebuilds. Danny Stowers Sign Danny Stowers's Petition

A Texas conservative, Danny is a Benefactor and Golden Eagles member of the NRA. Life member of Texas State Rifle Association. Isaac Demarest Sign Isaac Demarest's Petition

Isaac Demarest is a certified Financial Planner, Accredited Asset Management Specialist and a licensed Fiduciary. He works with non-profits on donor relations and fund-raising programs. His expertise in financial analysis, investments, financial management and extensive fund-raising experience will be of great benefit to NRA as NRA recovers from the current financial difficulties. Demarest is also very involved in the study and improvement of new tactical shooting, personal protection, and shooting sports programs. This experience will be very beneficial to NRA's plans to reinvigorate its shooting programs. He also has extensive experience working with governors and state lawmakers to develop and implement legislation and statewide policy. Such experience will be a valuable contribution to NRA’s legislative policy agenda.

 

Jeff Fleetham Sign Jeff Fleetham's Petition

Strong supporter, NRA Institute for Legislative Action, constitutional carry, youth gun safety education. Outspoken advocate for our Second Amendment rights. Having served as a Cabinet Member and Agency Director with the Arizona Governor’s office, Jeff Fleetham understands how to work with staff, state legislators and constituents to craft effective pro-gun legislation. He has worked with NRA-ILA Frontlines volunteers, connected with pro-gun legislators and used a variety of media to counter anti-gun narratives and to support pro-Second Amendment candidates and policies at high levels. He has built networks within local precincts and with state and national congressional legislators to protect and strengthen our Second Amendment rights and the shooting sports. Chris Rakyta Sign Chris Rakyta's Petition

Having recently retired from a career as a mechanical engineer and businesswoman, Chris has extensive technical, business and finance experience that will be valuable to NRA as it rebuilds for the future. She has served on a large Board of Directors for her trade association and has held leadership positions in her company relating to restructuring, reorganizing and oversight of project teams. Chris can contribute a wealth of career experience to help NRA solve its business and financial challenges. Being recently retired, Chris has the time, energy and desire to commit to helping to rebuild the NRA, an organization she believes should be the leader in the defense of the Second Amendment, shooting programs and the competitive shooting sports. Chris serves on the NRA Smallbore Committee and has already jumped in to assist the National Match planning group. Chris has a history of Collegiate shooting and has participated in Smallbore shooting for the past eight years. Chris Rakyta will be a valuable addition to NRA's Program Committees where NRA lacks sufficient depth of knowledgeable Board members to fill important NRA program positions in education, training, youth programs, women’s programs and competitive shooting.

 

Darryl Hayes Sign Darryl Hayes's Petition

Darryl Hayes is a strong advocate of expanding participation in the shooting sports. While serving on the NRA Shotgun Committee, he worked with NRA to increase NRA membership and participation in shotgun shooting. Hayes also brings strong organizational leadership experience to the table with his current position as the Deputy Chief of the Detroit Police Department, Crime Strategies Bureau and his recent past service as the president of the Amateur Trapshooting Association. At this critical time in NRA's history, NRA needs leaders with these strong leladership qualities. He is also a strong advocate of reaching out to and growing membership from urban and other non-traditional gun owner groups and is very supportive of providing educational programs for teaching safe, responsible and proper firearms use to many young shooters in the community.

 

Lane Ruhland Sign Lane Ruhland's Petition

Lane Ruhland is an energetic gun rights attorney dedicated to achieving justice for pro-gun and pro-freedom causes. After facing backlash for representing political causes, she started her own law firm so she could defend Second Amendment and pro-freedom clients. She has worked with elected officials and Wisconsin Firearm Owners to help defeat universal background checks, red flag law due process abuses and attempts to erode Second Amendment protections. She represented Hunter Nation in a major lawsuit leading to the first Wisconsin Wolf Hunt in ten years and she represented the Trump campaign in a defamation lawsuit against a Democrat Super PAC. Lane also works with and advises political candidates that support firearms rights and she is the mom of two young NRA life members.

 

Ron Schmeits Sign Ron Schmeits's Petition

Ron Schmeits is a steadfast defender of Second Amendment, individual gun owner's freedoms and the right to self-defense. While serving as New Mexico Governor’s adviser on Second Amendment issues, he worked with the Governor and the Legislature to pass the New Mexico Right to Carry Act and successfully opposed red flag laws and waiting periods on firearms purchases. Subsequently he successfully worked to oppose an executive order banning open and concealed carry in public places. As a former bank president and bank examiner, Ron Schmeits has extensive financial expertise and management experience. He believes in strong operating policies, procedures and internal accounting controls with independent oversight. He served on the NRA Finance Committee and participated in the oversight of NRA's reform of business practices that was noted by the New York judge in his decision to dismiss the New York Attorney General's attempt to dissolve the NRA. As Chairman of the NRA Special Contribution Fund (the NRA Whittington Center), Schmeits has maintained financially sound operations while overseeing a major expansion of the Whittington Center shooting facilities.

 

Tom Arvas Sign Tom Arvas's Petition

Tom Arvas is an uncompromising defender of the Second Amendment. He lobbied for the successful passing of concealed carry legislation in New Mexico. Strong supporter of hunting and shooting activities. He served as a member of the New Mexico Game and Fish Commission for 21 years where he was an advocate for wildlife management and opposed animal rights extremists. Served as Chairman, Shotgun Committee; member, Competition Rules & Programs Committee; serves on the Executive Committee of both the NRA Board of Directors and NRA Whittington Center. Past President of the Amateur Trapshooting Association. He is currently involved in developing a youth shooting program. He’s an active member of Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Ducks Unlimited, and New Mexico Trapshooting Association, and has been endorsed by the New Mexico Shooting Sports Association and the New York State Rifle and Pistol Association.
